Grants
An application for a grant has been submitted to the Australian
Council for the Arts to fund
Stages 4 & 5 of the Artists By the
River Program and the Group keenly awaits the outcome.
An application had also been submitted to
FACSIA under which their program
provides an opportunity for non-profit organisations to receive
payment for use in covering fuel costs.
The Group has successfuly obtained a Lotteries West Grant to
fund the Great Bike Hike feasibility
study.
The previously awarded Healthways grant in
support of the Artists by the River has now been acquitted and the
final report completed
Application for a grant under the Sidney Myer Grant program
had also been made but was unsuccessful.
Policy
The Group regularly submits comment on proposed changes to
government policy and uses a variety of channels to
ensure advocacy for people with a disability, mental
illness, their families, carers and others in the community.
